Training Seminars
Seminar Schedule & General Information:
The typical seminar is scheduled as a two-week intensive. Participants receive a total 60 contact hours of teaching, training and supervision during the 10 days of training.
- Thirty hours are devoted to teaching central concepts and guiding principles, along with ample opportunity for discussion.
- The other 30 hours are devoted to supervised skill practice, aimed at developing essential and advanced skills, as well as guided coaching in tool application.
At the end of each training seminar, participants receive a valid, detailed certificate of completion, signed by Dr. Rodriguez, with his professional credentials. The typical certificate will represents a total of 60 contact hours, in addition to the time spent in review and guided self-analysis. (Professionals in the U.S. and other countries have been able to use the certificate to satisfy their continuing education requirements.)
The following is a typical two-week intensive seminar schedule:
- As a rule, participants arrive in time for the evening meal on the first Sunday of the seminar. After the evening meal, we meet briefly for orientation, as well as for the handing out of training manuals and supplemental reading material.
- Teaching and training takes place Mondays-Fridays, each week, from 9am-5pm—with a mid-morning break, in addition to the lunch break. (There may be slight variations, depending on the daily schedule of the hosting facility.) The mornings are devoted to teaching and discussion, whereas the afternoons are devoted to coached skill practice, as well as to group supervision and analysis.
- Evenings and weekends are free. However, most participants find it very beneficial to do some preparative reading and review each night. The average participant usually devotes another 1-2 hours of extra personal study and review each evening.
- Although the seminar officially ends on the last Friday afternoon by 5pm, the cost of the seminar includes a stay at the hosting facility during the night of the last Saturday, as well as breakfast on Saturday morning. You are free to begin your travels on the evening of the last Friday, but most participants prefer stay through breakfast on the last Saturday—this is a good time for farewells.
Please note that, for every training seminar, SPACE IS LIMITED. In order to provide a personalized, hands-on skill training experience, we have to have to limit the number of participants to 10-15 (depending on the number of trainers available).
WHAT TO BRING: We strongly recommend that you bring a laptop computer, or some other device that will allow you to view digitally recorded videos during your training. We also recommend that you bring at least one storage device (such as a USB memory “stick”) with a minimum of 16 GB (gigabytes) of memory. Note that the viewing device you bring should be able to accept a memory storage device, in order to transfer the necessary files (e.g., PDF and Word files, digitally recorded videos, etc.)
Once you arrive at the seminar hosting facility, we will hand out the training manuals and supplemental material that you will need during the training seminar. (Note: the training manual and supplements will be sold to you at the cost of printing and binding.)
